Oh No! She's going into Politics now, no what you should be worried about is the fact that I have done two posts in technically a day.
Feel the Bern? More like, I'm not doing that shitty phrase.
I'm currently 22 years old, I have acquaintances who are around my age as well, like 2% are just a bit older than me and about .5% are well-adjusted in society. Well, moving on, this year is the highly anticipated election year, ooh! How exciting, am I right? Well, we know this is the year we say goodbye to our amazing Token Black President. Goodness let's keep our panties out of a bunch, I voted for him, because I like everyone who is now "Feeling the Bern" was sucked in by appearances and listening to what sounded good, but the President's job is difficult.
This is my rendition of what the President's job is like for the 4 years he or she (Yes, Hill, Im looking at you girl!) is in office. Basically the President is like a young... King? Prince? This is a hypothetical scenario for a real situation. Anyway, he's a kid who is now head of the state and he has to listen to his "greedy advisors" or Congress, if you will. People for around the country come in herds to then and ask them for things that would benefit them. Now, if it were in the kid's power to fix those problems, he would do it in a heartbeat to please the population. But because these are things that would only benefit a handful of people, Congress pokes their nose in the situation and tell them, "you know, King Tut, that's a such a noble thing you're doing, trying to help these people, but what about the people who don't like this change? So now that creates a division in our people.
"Divided We Stand, United We Fall."
Meaning, in this day and age, there's such a gap between the three generations that are living together on the Earth. By that I mean WE have our older generation, or our parents, who have always seen things black and white yet are trying desperately to keep up with the times, my generation, or our generation, if you're my age and basically divided by two ideals: the "Good Old Days," and the "Future"! And now, we have our new generation of kids with their noses stuck in their phones and tablets and laptops drinking their shitty PSL's in every Starbucks, just barely concerned about the future of our Country.
I was watching an episode of Louis C.K's Horace and Pete, where him and Steve Buscemi are brothers who own a bar together that has been open for 100 years, can you imagine? Well, there's a scene in the beginning where a patron of the bar is having a discussion with Buscemi's character, Pete, and they're talking about Trump, now we must make this very clear, I as a Hispanic not-yet-woman, will never stand by and let that foolish ass of a man run my country, I will leave and become a loyal citizen of Spain, because you'll have to kill me to make me go back to Honduras. I'm straying, Anyway, the patron and Pete are talking and the patron is asking him what's so great about the country, and I guess Pete was trying to figure it out, so the patron then says nobody cares about anything except "consumer pleasures", which is a fact, I mean how many iPhones can a person get in a year? Three. How many times will a person believe the world owes them something? Many times. So he goes on to say the country is ruined and if anyone voted for Trump, they want the country to be ruined–
Um, Fickety-Facts.
Like the Kid President, Trump would satisfy the needs of the population who wants to set the country back a few hundred years. Remember Segregation? Cold War (I have just finished watching Trumbo, die hard Louis C.K. fan here)? Remember all of the times we were afraid of our own neighbors because of "propaganda" or "labeling"? Anyway, Kid President Trump would side with those people leaving basically my generation and the one after us to bitch and moan complaining about the President and how he's trying to mess us all up with his idiotic ideals and blatant vulgarity when all we could have done was pay attention in our American History classes, maybe go in depth in our research about the duties of a President, watch at most 2 hours of CNN or MSNBC before you get officially tired of the rambling and make our own decisions on who is worthy to lead us.
Now here's where we can finally Feel the Bern.
A lot of young people are looking at this man and thinking he is a godsend, that he is The One to "fix things" or to at least maintain the same order Obama has. Highly unlikely, but whatever, do you best Bernie Sanders. Will I vote for this man? I'd love to, but I can't feed into his hype, I can't feed into Hillary's hype for being a woman, I can't feed Trump's Ted Cruz's, Ben Carson, maybe Jeb Bush, he's the Bush that needs a little TLC, but I don't see him going any further... Yeah, it's safe to say that I might leave this to the rest of "The People", because I am indecisive, but I will go with the flow as long as I'm still free to live as I have since Bill Clinton was in office, that suave, lady killer (he doesn't know it yet) and his charming voice... Oh... sorry.. Um feeling the Bern!
As pictured above, it's kinda a satirical viewpoint of how other people see these Bernie supporters. But unfortunately, it's a bit true, I have a human co-existor that is also on this planet that I worked with for about a year and he was already a bit of a... basket case, to say the least, he was totally into conspiracy theories and was a little macabre to say the least, he was ok when he wasn't in my way, or didn't speak, but mostly he was the best when it was his days off! Ahh, he was great when he wasn't there. Anyway, i recently caught up with his on Facebook even though I sure as hell wasn't looking for him, and aside from the twerking videos, and his shitty sense of entitlement, he's a strong supporter of The Bern, and it's commendable someone so blatantly stupid could get his hands off his dick to actually pay attention, but he checks out on almost everything on that list. It's a pity, because you'd think it would be like one or two, but it's like 95%
I'm sorry this post suddenly got very long with my stupid analogies, and my throwing shade, and indecision, I know you Lurkers won't see this, I'm too invisible, but I will post this on any corner of a website I just have to! I mean, I know I have literally no power to influence your decisions, but we all need to wake up and realize we're just going with what sounds nice now. It's anyone's game until we actually get to the polls, we need to open our ears, watch our candidates like hawks, find away to influence the people we are going to vote for the people we thought we were voting for. Remember the Kerry/Bush Election, that was a close one right? I was probably in the 5th or 6th grade when that happened, and i remember thinking, as a fucking child, "wow, I wish Kerry was president, he seems much smarter." That was me in my own way thinking he was much more grounded then Bush was. Anyway, like I said, it's anyone's game, alright? but it's up to us as the Divided Nation we are to find out common ground and elect the right group of people who we will be voting for this coming November. It's 1:55 am here on the east coast, I should be asleep, I have kids to worry about it tomorrow!
Buenas Noches, my beautiful Lurkers!
